Introducing Euan!

The youngest of the Mizons, Euan is now 8 weeks old ... time is flying ... it seems no time since we were (im)patiently waiting for his arrival.

There's not a great deal to say about Euan - he's not at playgroup or school but he does got to Friday Focus each week! He had his 8 week check last Friday and has been referred to the hospital to have his neck muscles checked out ... he has trouble turning his head to the right and prefers looking and leaning to the left.

We're so grateful for God for Euan and for his two big brothers.

Introducing Connor!

Connor is mischief! He's feisty and independent and very, very affectionate ... he gives lovely cuddles!
Connor was three last week and we went to Edinburgh Zoo for the day ... he liked the penguins the best because they reminded him of Pingu!
At the moment Connor goes to playgroup two mornings a week but is due to start at nursery pre-school after Christmas ... we're just waiting to hear if he's got a place or not!

Introducing Sam!

First of all we've got Sam. Full of life, full of fun and nearly always a really happy wee lad!
Sam is in primary one and loving school. He's really excited that he's learning to read and always shouts out the words he knows on the screen at church! He's learning number poems and has to take his turn teaching the class how to write numbers ... apparently he really enjoys that part, telling others what to do!
Sam is so lovely and gentle with Euan ... he sits beside him stroking his head at times and gets very concerned when Euan cries. All through my pregnancy Sam was adamant he was going to have another brother because he "didn't like sisters" so he's very happy that Euan is here ... although he was a bit upset we didn't call him Charlie!

Time changing

The clocks changed last night. It's always a time of misunderstanding in our house ... my fault because I jump about changing random clocks on Saturday evening so that I don't forget! Then Kevin doesn't know if I've changed clocks or not and we all end up at sixes and sevens!

This year we surpassed ourselves ... Kevin changed some clocks as well and that really threw me! I ended up having to phone the speaking clock (argh, what a horrible voice it is now!).

Anyway, Connor & I stayed home from church this morning. We're having another attempt at persuading Connor that nappies are for babies ... he's reluctant! It was lovely having some time alone with him though ... he's the member of the family I think has been most affected by Euan's arrival ... he gets no time alone with me anymore and I really miss it! We played chase and read books and just enjoyed time together! No advance with the potty-training but at least he's not as upset about it all now!

Kevin's Dad & Step-Mum came for lunch today. It was lovely to spend time with them. Sam was very concerned that Auntie Anne had hurt her leg and was on crutches (or stilts as he called them). Earlier in the week he'd asked if we could pray for Auntie Anne's leg - I'm not sure if he was a bit surprised that her leg was still sore!

Euan's been quite unsettled lately ... I'm not sure if he's got a sore tummy ... it's hard at this age when they can't tell us what's wrong. Poor wee lad is crying a lot and crying real tears! When he's happy he's got a lovely huge smile but when he's unhappy he looks a really sad wee soul!

Must get a family photo sometime ... maybe that can be the aim for this week.
