Monday madness!

Considering that Sam is off school and Kevin is on holiday from work ... today was relatively chaotic! Maybe it's because they were at home ... who knows!

This morning Sam & I went to the home of one of Sam's friends from school. It was nice for the two boys to get together ... they are good friends and it's lovely to see Sam developing friendships.

After lunch Sam, Euan and I went into town with the purpose of getting Sam's feet measured ... my parents were going to be in town too so we arranged to meet them. As we were getting Euan into his pram, Sam decided that, as Super-Hero boy (known as Super Sam) he would shut the car door for me ... he shut the door using so much of his super powers that the door jammed ... neither fully shut nor open enough for me to do anything about it! Oh joy! Kevin ended up having to get the bus into town with Connor and helping me to fix it! Oh, in truth, it was Kevin that fixed it ... I just stood about looking bedraggled in the rain!

To add insult to injury, when we got to the shoe shop ... it had closed! Ah well, the afternoon wasn't entirely wasted ... we went to the Almond Tree coffee shop instead!

Connor has been making me laugh lately ...he takes things so literally! The boys were playing with Connor's remote control car and I was trying to persuade them to use it in the hall as Euan was lying on the floor in the living room (didn't want the poor wee lad run over!).

Sam was fine ... he did as he was told and then it was Connor's turn. I said to Connor "Can you do that in the hall?" and he did ... but he left the car in the living room. He was standing in the hall jabbing the remote control buttons up and down but couldn't see what he was doing! Poor lad couldn't understand why I was laughing so much!

Euan is making progress ... he's started playing with the toys on the arch over his bouncy chair. He bats the toy with his hand and watches it swinging about then bats it again when it stops! He's also on the move ... when he lies on his back he puts his feet down and pushes ... he's managed to get himself half off his mat already! Looks like another determined wee boy here!
